• Journal & Letters: Text entries, future letters, uploaded photos, and AI tone preferences.
• Mood & Check-ins: Daily emotional logs, reflections, and AI-generated insights.
• Device Info: Device type, OS, language settings, crash logs, and basic analytics.
• Notification Tokens: Used for reminders and future letter unlock notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide personalized journaling and reflection features.
• To deliver secure AI-based responses and insights.
• To send notifications and reminders you opt into.
• To maintain functionality, troubleshoot issues, and improve app performance.

3. AI Processing

• When you request an AI response, your data is sent securely to our AI provider only for generating responses.
• Data used for AI is not stored permanently and not used to train unrelated models.
• We do not allow third parties to use your content for advertising or profiling.

4. Third-Party Services

DearMe integrates with:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, cloud backup/restore, notifications, and analytics.
• AI Providers (OpenAI/Gemini/DeepSeek): For AI reflection features; temporary processing only.

Your use of these services is also subject to their privacy policies.

5. Data Security

All journals and letters are encrypted. We cannot and do not read your private content unless explicitly shared for support purposes. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

6. Your Rights

• Access and update your account information anytime.
• Request full deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Opt out of notifications or personalized features.

7. Age Requirements

DearMe is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age.

8. Data Retention

Your data is kept while your account is active. You may request permanent deletion at any time, after which backups will also be purged within a reasonable timeframe.

DearMe complies with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR (for EU users) and Indonesian privacy regulations.
